This is a classic 59 PAF style set with rich, warm harmonics. They have a high end sizzle that’s smooth and not raspy at all. With sweet mids and a rock solid low end. Neck pickup will not mush out and will stay tight and focused. These pickups will deliver and not disappoint. If you are looking for classic 59 PAF tone then this is the set for you. Magnets are an A3 in the neck position and an A5 in the bridge position. Pickups are wound in a traditional PAF fashion with 42 gauge plain enamel coil wire, nickel silver base plates, single conductor braided lead wire, and includes your choice of covers.

If you are looking for classic 57 PAF tone then this is the set for you. Magnets are Alnico 2 in the neck and bridge positions. Pickups are wound in a traditional PAF fashion with 42 gauge plain enamel coil wire, nickel silver base plates, single conductor braided lead wire, and includes your choice of covers.

RD-64
This set was modeled directly off of my 1964 Gibson SG patent sticker pickups. The pickups in this SG are full PAF spec. with butyrate bobbins, black lead wires and purple Plain enamel wire on the bobbins.

The neck pickup is full sounding with great overtones. The bridge pickup is bright and airy with lots of sizzle and bite.  THE STEEL ALLOYS FOR ALL OF THE MAGNETIC COMPONENTS ARE MANUFACTURED AND MATCHED AS CLOSE as POSSIBLE WITH TODAYS STEELS AND SOUND Nearly identical to the original’s components.  Top this off with real butyrate bobbins that not only look like the originals, but smell like them too.  Short Alnico 2 rough cast magnets: neck and bridge.

This paf style set is based off the tones of zep’s royal albert hall and earlier recordings with the #1 les paul in its original configuration, with its original paf still in the bridge.  To me, this is my favorite zep, les paul tones.

The set utilizes correct paf magnetic components and steel alloys.  Combine this with butyrate bobbins and you have a pickup set that not only sounds vintage, but smells vintage also.  Alnico 3 magnets

The bridge pickup is hotter and is not as bright and nasal as the t-top in the guitars later configuration.
