Our ECS-60 pickup features a late 50′s / early 60′s wind pattern. Made just like the originals and directly cloned from a January, 1960 strat. Features include vintage style cloth covered hook up wire, custom made hand beveled .196 diameter alnico V magnets with vintage stagger, 42 gauge heavy formvar magnet wire, lacquer dipped forbon bobbins ( top and bottom are black ). Pickups are carbon black wax potted just like the originals. Available as singles, or in calibrated sets. These pickups produce that classic fat 3 dimensional strat tone with smooth round highs and thunderous bottom. DC Resistance – 6k – 6.4k Covers and mounting hardware included.

Our ECS-65 is a faithful recreation of a mid 60′s strat pickup, from the light grey bottom bobbin, right down to the 42 gauge plain enamel magnet wire. Features American made hand beveled .188 Diameter alnico V magnets with proper vintage stagger, vintage style cloth covered hook up wire, and lacquer dipped forbon bobbins. This pickup produces a piano like tone like the mid 60′s strats were known for. If you are looking for the early Hendrix sound, then this is the pickup for you. I’ve found some original pickups from this era wax potted, and some lacquer potted. Wax potting is standard, but we can nitro lacquer pot upon request. The JH Tribute Strat set replicates, for the right handed player, what it was like for Jimi to play a right handed guitar left handed. This set is wound to 1968 specs. and has a left hand vintage stagger on the AlNiCo 5 magnets, Grey bottom flat work, 42 gauge Plain Enamel magnet wire, PVC lead wire. This set nails his woodstock tone and has unbelievable quack for that Little Wing sound. If your guitar has a humbucker route for the bridge you can install a pickguard with a reverse angled bridge pickup to complete this pickup set. I believe that the reverse stagger and the reverse angle bridge pickup is the main secret to achieving Jimi’s tone This set is also available in a right hand stagger for the left handed player.

Wound to 59 Tele Specs. This neck pickup has a clear tone with round bass, smooth treble, and not overly compressed. Specs : 43 gauge plain enamel coil wire, .196 Diameter Alnico 5 magnets, Vintage style cloth covered lead wire and wax potted. Resistance : 7.2K  * Please specify bare nickel, chrome, or gold cover during checkout.

Bridge Pickup:

Also wound to 59 Tele Specs. This model has the classic tele twang with good sustain and growl. Excellent rock or country tone. Specs : 42 gauge plain enamel coil wire, .196 Diameter Alnico 5 magnets, with raised D & G, Vintage style cloth covered lead wire and wax potted. White string wrap. Resistance : 6.7K

Neck Pickup:

If you want smooth, full sounding lows, and sweet clear, round highs, then this is the neck pickup for you. We use the earliest wind pattern to achieve the sound of this pickup. Specs : Alnico 3 Magnets .196 diameter, 43 gauge PE wire, cloth lead wire, and wax potted. Resistance: 7.5K  * Please specify bare nickel, chrome, or gold cover during checkout.

Bridge Pickup:

This pickup is absolutely smoking with huge bottom and top end. It has a very balanced tone with good mids and twangs nicely with good power. Specs: Flat and flush Alnico 3 magnets .196 diameter, 42 gauge PE magnet wire, Cloth leads, and wax potted. Black string wrap. Resistance 7.3K

This is a classic 59 PAF style set with rich, warm harmonics. They have a high end sizzle that’s smooth and not raspy at all. With sweet mids and a rock solid low end. Neck pickup will not mush out and will stay tight and focused. These pickups will deliver and not disappoint. If you are looking for classic 59 PAF tone then this is the set for you. Magnets are an A3 in the neck position and an A5 in the bridge position. Pickups are wound in a traditional PAF fashion with 42 gauge plain enamel coil wire, nickel silver base plates, single conductor braided lead wire, and includes your choice of covers.

This is a classic 57 PAF style set with rich, warm harmonics and have an excellent clean tone. They have a high end that is very articulate, a warm bottom end, and a balanced midrange. If you are looking for classic 57 PAF tone then this is the set for you. Magnets are Alnico 2 in the neck and bridge positions. Pickups are wound in a traditional PAF fashion with 42 gauge plain enamel coil wire, nickel silver base plates, single conductor braided lead wire, and includes your choice of covers.

Our EP-90-50′s replicates a P-90 from the early 50′s. Very clear and articulate, it has beautiful bass and treble response, with a balanced and not over powering midrange response. This pickup has a beautiful sweet singing tone from its lower output. Wound with 42 AWG plain enamel wire, Alnico 2 magnets, and vintage style braided single conductor lead wire. Also available in sets of 3. If a middle pickup is required it is wound to 7.6k.

This Broadcaster style set is wound to the earliest black guard specs from 1950. It encompasses the essence of the Broadcaster using the same materials as was used then, including white string wrap on the bridge pickup and then black wax dipped to give it the black string appearance

RD-64
This set was modeled directly off of my 1964 Gibson SG patent sticker pickups. The pickups in this SG are full PAF spec. with butyrate bobbins, black lead wires and purple Plain enamel wire on the bobbins.

The neck pickup is full sounding with great overtones. The bridge pickup is bright and airy with lots of sizzle and bite.  THE STEEL ALLOYS FOR ALL OF THE MAGNETIC COMPONENTS ARE MANUFACTURED AND MATCHED AS CLOSE as POSSIBLE WITH TODAYS STEELS AND SOUND Nearly identical to the original’s components.  Top this off with real butyrate bobbins that not only look like the originals, but smell like them too.  Short Alnico 2 rough cast magnets: neck and bridge.

This paf style set is based off the tones of zep’s royal albert hall and earlier recordings with the #1 les paul in its original configuration, with its original paf still in the bridge.  To me, this is my favorite zep, les paul tones.

The set utilizes correct paf magnetic components and steel alloys.  Combine this with butyrate bobbins and you have a pickup set that not only sounds vintage, but smells vintage also.  Alnico 3 magnets

The bridge pickup is hotter and is not as bright and nasal as the t-top in the guitars later configuration.
